This is an acrylic painting on canvas of a pair of Eastern Bluebirds that are found east of the Rocky Mountains, from Canada to Honduras. They are such a beautiful bird with the male being especially bright deep blue with rusty orange on their throats and breast. They are up to 8.3 inches long and weigh about 1.1 ounces. Eastern Bluebirds can live 6-10 years in the wild and they prefer open fields and sparse woodland areas. They are one of my favorites here in Ohio, so I had to paint a pair of them in my apple tree with blossoms. Bluebirds and Blossoms.
