Description
I was taking a drive after a fresh snow and happened upon this stream that came out of the woods. A great blue heron flew up from the bank --and I will never forget how perfectly silent it was as it went up. This is my rendition of that on pastel board with watercolor, acrylics, and then pastel over it.
