Description
This Yellow Warbler was seen at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge in the Lake Erie area of Ohio. It is one of the 50 species of warblers that birders from all over flock to see in the spring as they come through the area to migrate into Canada. The warblers are a small songbird and this is a male since he has the rust streaks on his breast. They are fast and like to move from the treetops often. I love going to Ottawa NWR and searching for them -- it is like a treasure hunt. The Yellow Warbler is the most common of the warblers, but they are a bird I adore.
